“Phoenix is out, Miami is out, Toronto is out” – Chris Broussard believes Kevin Durant will find it difficult to get a trade from the Nets

NBA analysts believe that Kevin Durant will find a hard time finding a new team if he leaves the Brooklyn Nets.

Chris Broussard is sick of speaking the same thing. He is almost likely that Kevin Durant, an All-Star for the Nets, will start this season in Brooklyn rather than being dealt somewhere.

“Guys aren’t paying attention to me. I won’t claim that it is absolutely true, but where is he going? “on Thursday’s First Things First on FOX Sports, Broussard stated. “Teams quitting is something we witness daily. Phoenix is out. Miami is out. Toronto is out. What is the proposed agreement?”

At the beginning of free agency on June 30, the Nets All-Star made a trade request, prioritizing the Suns and Heat.

Durant joined the loaded Golden State Warriors, a title contender, after leaving the OKC Thunder and helped them win the NBA title in 2017 and 2018. The Miami Heat and Phoenix Suns, who had the best records in their conferences last season, are now on Durant’s list of teams to play for.

Durant made a trade request to Brooklyn in an effort to fulfill his aim of building a championship team. Durant joined the Brooklyn Nets in 2019 to pursue this goal. James Harden, Kyrie Irving, and Durant were the team’s starting lineup at one point, yet they only managed to win one postseason series. The Nets are quickly rebuilding while Durant’s fantasy turns into a nightmare.

When Phoenix accepted Indiana’s four-year, $133 million offer for center Deandre Ayton, who was expected to join a third club so that the Suns could acquire Durant in exchange, Phoenix forfeited its ability to negotiate with that team. Ayton has a one-year veto over any trades to the other 28 clubs and the Suns are unable to move him to the Pacers.

On January 15 of the following year, Phoenix might try to trade Ayton, but he would need to agree on the transaction for it to go through. Boston is the most recent team to purportedly make a move for Durant, giving Derrick White, Jaylen Brown, and a draft selection, but the Nets reportedly want Marcus Smart, the NBA’s defensive player of the year.

As for the Boston situation, Broussard stated, “If they want to part with Jaylen Brown and Marcus Smart, and if I’m the Nets, I’m wanting Robert Williams III as well as three first-round selections. Maybe that occurs if they want to give up some sort of arrangement like that.”

According to Broussard, Durant will attend the team’s training camp after forgiving the Nets for firing his shooting coach Adam Harrington and the fact that Kyrie Irving did not receive a long-term agreement.
