Carson Wentz’ term with the Philadelphia Eagles ended in the worst possible manner. With injuries hampering his tenure, Wentz was in dire need to start fresh and change his fortune around. Indianapolis Colts gave him the chance in this offseason by acquiring him to lead their offensive unit.

Hoping for the best start, Carson Wentz suffered a foot injury during the training camp, keeping him out of the preseason play. However, he was back just in time – to feature in the team’s inaugural contest. After which there have been glimpses of him showcasing his best traits, but that form hasn’t been seen in every game.

After losing their latest contest against the Tennessee Titans in overtime, the Colts are now 3-5 in the season, second in the AFC South division behind the former team.

Is Carson Wentz playing for Colts in Week 9?

Carson Wentz will be starting in his team’s Week 9 contest against the New York Jets. Given that they are just one win behind the Titans, Wentz is in no mood to be away from game-action at any cost. To talk about his individual stats – Wentz has thrown for 1,926 yards and 14 touchdowns through the Colts’ first eight games of the season.

With many questioning his clutch decision making ability after Sunday’s loss, it is the perfect time for this QB to answer his critics. Given that the Colts have pulled off some incredible wins in the 2022-23 season, the coming games could very well decide the fate of their playoff-aspirations.

That being said, talking about their upcoming opposition – New York Jets are currently 2-5, picking up their second win of the season last week against the Cincinnati Bengals, even without rookie quarterback Zach Wilson, who is out with a knee injury. Showcasing how tough they can play, which team will come out on top? Remains to be seen.
