Both these spoken off teams have marquee players absent from the game-lineup due to injuries and are surely going to have major voids. But the story for both these teams have been about their play on one end of the field – For Kansas City Chiefs, it has been a case of their offensive prowess dismantling sides. Whereas for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers – it has been all about a firm and tight defensive line.

This is exactly what was spotted by Shannon Sharpe while he addressed his pick for the game. While quoting about the voids of both these teams, the former NFL star pointed out how Bucs would overpower Kansas City Chiefs on the defensive end as they have the number one defense at the moment.

Shannon Sharpe chooses Tampa Bay Bucs over Kansas City Chiefs for Week 4 showdown

Shannon Sharpe quoted in the latest episode of Undisputed, “If Patrick Mahomes was going against his Chiefs defense, I’d take the Baby GOAT. But the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have the #1 defense in football and without Tyreek, Kansas City Chiefs can’t stretch the field. I’m taking the Bucs.”

Rightly pointed out by Sharpe, Patrick Mahomes would be required to spread the ball as much as he can to open the Bucs’ defense, especially in the latter half of the game. Fans might have noticed that as the game goes on, the Tamp Bay defense does not give much gaps for the opposition players to make runs at them.

That being said, will this be a 1v1 battle between Tom Brady and Patrick Mahomes? Or is there another star waiting to take over the center stage? Remains to be seen.
