The Baltimore Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti was openly very critical of the contract that was given to Deshaun Watson by the Cleveland Browns.
Deshaun Watson was traded to the Cleveland Browns from the Houston Texans which shocked many people as everyone thought that the Browns were not an option for Deshaun who was close to joining the Falcons or the Panthers.
The Cleveland Browns see him as their franchise quarterback and wanted to show that they trust him a lot despite the ongoing controversies going around him off the field as they offered him a very big contract which made a statement around the NFL.

Deshaun was given a five-year, fully guaranteed $230 million contract, which will most certainly have a big impact on how the future deals with other quarterbacks take place just like the Davante Adams contract had an impact on Tyreek Hill’s contract situation at the Chiefs.
Baltimore Ravens owner, Steve Bisciotti was not fond of the contract given to Deshaun Watson and said, “It’s like, ‘damn, I wish they hadn’t guaranteed the whole contract, I don’t know that he should’ve been the first guy to get a fully guaranteed contract.”

“We’ll pay him when he’s ready” – Baltimore Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti on the contract for Lamar Jackson
The Baltimore Ravens owner, Steve Bisciotti further talked about the implications of Watson’s contract and said, “To me, that’s something that is groundbreaking, and it’ll make negotiations harder with others. But it doesn’t necessarily mean that we have to play that game, you know? We shall see.”
He talked about the contract talks with Lamar Jackson and said, “We’ll pay him when he’s ready, Without a QB you believe in, life stinks as an NFL owner and as a fan base, We appreciate Lamar. All I know is that his teammates love him and the front office loves him.“
The Baltimore Ravens would like to offer the contract to Lamar Jackson as soon as possible because he is their franchise quarterback and if he becomes available there will be many teams who would like to have him as their quarterback because of his exceptional skills in both throwing and running the football.
Roger Goodell said “there’s no timetable” on a decision of any potential discipline for Browns’ QB Deshaun Watson. “We will seek to get to the bottom of the facts,” Goodell said.

as hell … The kid is so obsessed with winning a Super Bowl, that I think deep down, he doesn’t think he’s worthy. I think he wants that to say, ‘Now, I deserve to be on top'"
