On the court, LeBron is associated with his dunking ability and his giant wingspan as well as his ability to keep his calm even in pressure-inducing situations – but even the King can lose his cool. That was exactly the case when LeBron James went up against Austin Rivers as the Los Angeles Lakers met the Houston Rockets a couple of seasons ago.

The Los Angeles Lakers superstar was dribbling with the ball trying to get a shot underway as he went up against the Rockets’ guard Rivers – but when the referee called for play to stop, LeBron stopped his attempts to turn around. However, as LeBron stopped in his tracks with the ball hanging in mid-air, Rivers tipped it onto LeBron’s head while he had his back turned.

James interpreted it as an indication of violence and turned around quickly to fight Rivers for his actions, however on seeing that Rivers had no intentions of riling LeBron up – he quickly turned around to jog back into his defensive shape. The throwback clip from the COVID-19 bubble in 2020 is trending all of a sudden, and fans are in splits over the way that LeBron swung around in an instant.

What did the fans have to say about LeBron James swinging around to fight Rivers?

It would be fair to say that LeBron’s actions attracted some hilarious takes on social media.

While one fan said: “Austin was looking like LeBron was about to pick up his bad report card but just walked past it”, another hilariously said: “Bron turned around with so much anger in his heart, Austin was begging for his life when he saw him turn.”

It is a very strange moment indeed to see LeBron lose his cool on the basketball court, but being the classy professional he is – LeBron knows how to keep his emotions in check.
