And it is for sure that none of them are working any harder than 37-year-old veteran LeBron James, who is putting in the hours at the gym ahead of his 20th season in the NBA.

After enjoying a legendary basketball career spanning nearly two decades in the NBA spent with the Cleveland Cavaliers over two spells, the Miami Heat and the Los Angeles Lakers, the Lakers superstar is training hard in the Lakers’ traditional pre-season training camp in Los Angeles.

James was seen to prepare for a season that if successful, will help him secure a fifth NBA Championship on his curriculum vitae – ensuring his legacy as one of the greatest of all time.

On his official Instagram account, James posted a carousel of pictures depicting him putting the hours in the gym as he prepares ahead of his 20th season in the NBA – accompanied by an inspirational quote taken from the archives of former American President Theodore Roosevelt.

The caption read, “It is not the critic who counts; not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles; or where the doer of deeds could have done them better. The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena, whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood; who strives valiantly; who errs; who falls short again and again, because there is no effort without error and shortcoming.”

The quote continued: “But who does actually strive to do the deeds; who knows great enthusiasms, the great devotions; who spends himself in a worthy cause; who at the best knows in the end the triumph of high achievement; and who at the worst, if he fails, fails while daring greatly, so that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who neither know victory nor defeat.”

The inspirational quote definitely serves as a prelude for another season where The King pushes himself to the limits, and tries to outdo himself without the fear of failure.
