What is the story behind the LeBron James meme kid?

The LeBron James meme kid is famous for chanting LeBron James’ name over and over again. He went viral for a Vine and the internet loved how he repeated the name of an NBA star.

A small youngster who continuously says the name of the well-known American professional basketball player LeBron James in a montage clip posted to Vine in June 2014 is known as the ‘LeBron James meme Kid’.

The catchphrase of the youngster saying LeBron James has been combined with many clips from TV shows, music videos, and movies, much like other mashup memes on the video-sharing website, primarily for humorous effect. The ‘LeBron James meme kid’ became a huge trend overnight.

This clip is still one of the most used sports memes and it is still being used even after over 8 years. It quickly became a classic as more people viewed the clip than the uploader anticipated.

How LeBron James meme Kid clip went viral

On June 27, 2014, Viner DARius published a video clip of his young brother mentioning an NBA player in front of their home. In the video, the NBA superstar LeBron’s name is heard being said repeatedly.

Darius recorded his brother’s LeBron chanting from different angles and different locations and combined it and uploaded it on Vine. He said during an interview, “I thought it would be funny doing it like that, saying it over and over, having him in different positions,” Darius says. “I filmed it all at one go.”

The six-second-long clip has five times, then 6-year-old kid Terrance Jackson saying LeBron’s name on the loop.

Jackson is from Sacramento and is a Kings fan. He was also brought to a game by the Kings where he introduced LeBron James when he was still with Cleveland.

Now, when LeBron is with the Lakers, the meme circulation has not yet stopped featuring Jackson. Many stars and celebrities shared the LeBron James meme kid made about the kids chanting.

LeBron will play for his fifth ring this year as he is entering his 20th year in the league. The Lakers are also looking forward to a fire lineup this year. He will be the NBA’s leading scorer by the end of the upcoming season.
