Kevin Durant led the Brooklyn Nets past his former team Golden State Warriors with his partner-in-crime, Kyrie Irving being sidelined. The misery for the de defending champions was to an extent where they trailed by as many as 40 points even before the second half of the game began. Eventually they lost by a 30-point deficit despite a hard-fought effort in the second half.

But when Kyrie Irving was busy celebrating his teammates’ efficient performance, there was one fan in particular who reasoned out why the Dubs are losing. The heckling fan urged Kyrie Irving to bring him teammates to the same court when Stephen Curry return back from injury.

The 2016 NBA Champ did not hold back and clapped back by responding, “He gotta guard me, and I gotta guard him, so it’s even.”

While Irving has always headed into Chase Center being an opposition player, Kevin Durant has been the fan favorite for Golden State. So, it was obvious that the former MVP will not react in the same manner.

On the same note – Kevin Durant’s response was not quite as clear as Irving’s, it sounds like he tells the fan, “Congrats on that championship you won last year. I’m proud of you.” It seems as if the former NBA Finals MVP was taking a jab at the fan for acting as if he actually plays for Steve Kerr’s Warriors, and is not simply just a fan.

That being said, the exchange never got heated and it’s nice to see such healthy exchanges taking place between players and the fans.
