After the Golden State Warriors vs Memphis Grizzlies showdown on Christmas Day, fans got to know that Stephen Curry will be out for at least 2 more weeks for the defending champions. The 34-year-old was averaging 30 points, 6.6 rebounds and 6.8 assists per games, and his absence has clearly haunted Steve Kerr’s side on the offensive end in majority of the four games he has missed so far.

So, what happened to Stephen Curry? Is he hurt? The reigning NBA Finals MVP suffered from a partial dislocation of his left shoulder on December 14 against the Indiana Pacers. However, when the current All-Star Game MVP appeared on the broadcast to detail about his progression from injury, he was clear in stating how well he is feeling after initial treatment and re-analyzation.

While the likes of Jordan Poole and Klay Thompson have failed to fire in Curry’s absence, their form ahs suffered tons because of it. Currently the defending champions are 16-18, placed in the 11th position behind Minnesota Timberwolves in the Western Conference Standings.

When will Stephen Curry return?

“Every day it’s getting better,” Curry said. “I’m hoping it’s as close to that two weeks as possible. It gives me time for that five on five rehab.”

That being said, if you’re a Golden State Warriors fan, it is great to hear that Curry’s shoulder is getting better every day. His hope to return as close to that two-week timetable is shared throughout the fanbase, as everyone is ready to get their MVP back.

If we were to trust Curry’s timetable, he could return on January 7th at the earliest to represent Golden State against the Orlando Magic. If not, that encounter, the 34-year-old could feature in the team’s next showdown against Phoenix Suns on January 10th.
