Draymond Green recently revealed the current player in the league that reminds him of himself the most.

Draymond Green is one of the most important players of the Golden State Warriors. Their dynastic run so far might not have been possible without the grit and grind performances of Green.

He is the vocal leader of that team, and both Stephen Curry, and Klay Thompson also know that. Even though his impact cant be judged by box-score numbers, Draymond Green is the glue that sticks the Warriors team together.

Recently, Green was asked about the player that reminds him of himself the most. He was asked about the current players playing in the league. It was a tough question because there aren’t many players in the league that play like him.

Speaking on it, Green said, “The one player that reminds me the most of me as a young guy, I’m gonna have to go with uh, that is a good one that’s good one you know why because I don’t think that there are so many layers to that you know like Um like yeah you may be able to pass the ball at my size or at my position but do you lead like you may leave but do you defend you know um if you defend do you have a high IQ like so I don’t know I just think that’s such a multi-layered thing…“

The player that Draymond Green named was a familiar foe

Draymond Green later revealed the player that reminds him of himself the most. Green said, “But if I had to pick one guy that reminds me of me I’m going to have to go with um in a much different way Ja Morant.“

Talking about why Morant is that player, Green said, “I ain’t bowing down to none of y’all I don’t care what you’ve accomplished before I got here that has absolutely nothing to do with me. I believe in myself and my abilities. I’m going to show you that I’m going to lead, I’m going to talk to you and let you know about it while I’m doing it.“

He added, “I’m going to carry others with me and most importantly I’m gonna do it my Way and I and all of those things that I just named I see Ja Morant do. Now does that mean Ja Morant and me are the same player, we’re nowhere near the same player but that’s who reminds me of a lot of me…”

Ja Morant made a huge leap last season. He and his team announced their arrival to the league, and they are here to stay for years to come. The Grizzlies gave a very tough time to the Warriors throughout the year, and this will be a rivalry to keep an eye on.
