Outfielder Trayce Thompson of the Los Angeles Dodgers has been put on the 10-day injured list after sustaining an injury. In the game against the New York Yankees from the night before, he received an injury to his oblique muscle as a result of a checked swing.
In what has already been a challenging season for Thompson, who has a hitting line of only.155/.310/.366 over 87 plate appearances, this is just another setback for him. The outfielder smacked three home runs in his first game of the season and had three hits against the Rays on May 28.
