The Boston Red Sox faced the New York Yankees in the 4th game of their ongoing series on July 10th, 2022. Going into the match, the Yankees led the series by 2-1. The team from New York won the first two games of the series, while Boston took the third game.

The Yankees got off to a fast start in game four, leading the Red Sox 6-2 after the top of the third inning. Not a single Yankee fan would have expected to experience what happened next.

The Boston Red Sox completely took over the game and scored 9 runs in the next five innings. The Yankees had no answer for the explosiveness of the Red Sox batters. As a result, the series was split between two fierce division rivals.

The New York Yankees currently led the AL East. They have a record of 61-25. On the other hand, the Boston Red Sox Is also crawling up the standings. They currently have a record of 47-39 and are in second place in AL East.

Giancarlo Stanton continued his impressive form against the Boston Red Sox

Giancarlo Stanton once again had a great game against the division rivals Boston Red Sox. In 4 at-bats, he had two hits and a home run. He is an All-Star this season and rightly so.

The New York Yankees star players have played quite well throughout the season. The likes of Aaron Judge, Anthony Rizzo, DJ Lamehieu, Giancarlo Stanton, and Aaron Hicks have been stepping up when it matters. As a result, the Yankees have a great chance of winning the world series this year.

The Race for the second spot in AL East is tightening up

The AL East is arguably the best division in baseball. The New York Yankees are currently the best team in the league, and are having the best result among any teams.

The Yankees are almost certain to make the playoffs. As a result, the place for the second spot in AL East is tightening up. The Boston Red Sox and the Tampa Bay Rays are pretty good teams, and they wouldn’t want to miss the postseason.

However, one team that is going under the radar in this division is the Toronto Blue Jays. They are also one of the best teams in the league, but are currently in bad form. They also have playoff aspirations, and when they get going, it will be very tough to contain them.

Currently, the Boston Red Sox and the Tampa Bay Rays are in the AL Wildcard positions and are looking good to make the playoffs. Boston is currently 47-39, while the Rays are currently 45-40. They are placed in the 4th and 5th positions in the entire American League.

The Blue Jays currently have a record of 45-42 and are in 7th place in the AL standings. They have the same record as the Seattle Mariners, but the Mariners are on an 8-game winning streak, while the Blue Jays are on a 4-game losing streak.

It’s very likely that we will see four teams from the AL East qualify for the playoffs, which is why the competition within the division will be very high to secure a good record and go to the postseason.
