The New York Yankees head into the 2023 Major League Baseball season with lofty goals of claiming the title of world champions. After making it all the way to the conference finals in the previous season, the Yankees made some moves that allowed them to keep Aaron Judge, which was the most important question.

The Yankees have demonstrated, in the manner in which they spent money during the offseason, that they are fully committed to winning the World Series. Because they possibly have their greatest team in place since a significant amount of time has passed, they are one of the favorites to win the championship this season.

The health of many of the Yankees’ pitchers is still unknown, which is one of the reasons why the team could have some difficulty later in the season. However, this is something that happens to all teams at some point or another.

Concerningly, a number of the starting pitchers for the Yankees are currently on the injured reserve list to begin the season.

Yankees starting rotation:

  2. Nestor Cortes
  3. Carlos Rodon
  4. Frankie Montas
  5. Luis Severino
