The 8-player Legion Raid now features a more challenging version of the Phantom Legion Commander encounter known as Brelshaza Hard Mode, which offers increased difficulty and better rewards, including the new Ancient quality of gear & accessories. The requirements for Brelshaza Hard Mode are different from its regular version, with Item Level 1540 for gates 1 & 2, Item Level 1550 for gates 3 & 4, and Item Level 1560 for gates 5 & 6.

Lost Ark Brelshaza Hard Mode Guide

Gates 1 & 2

In Gate 1, players must stagger the boss during the 85 HP mechanic and then proceed to their designated positions before spreading out. Countering the boss will result in silencing the person who did it, and every successful action will trigger an arrow from any cardinal direction. Those who counter the boss need to block the projectiles to prevent them from exploding upon impact with the boss. Additionally, the boss will follow a typical attack pattern and counterattack similar to Valtan’s. Players need to stop attacking when they see the purple shields go up or move away from the center to avoid any harm. 

Moving on to Gate 2, players must intercept the knights twice for the outside party while the inside team clears the Diamonds that fire projectiles. Unlike in Normals, these Diamonds do not expire in Hard Mode, so players must remove them actively, or the outside team will get wiped. During the Orbs mechanic at 80 HP, slight variations will appear in the spheres. A fake purple sphere will appear right next to the right orb, requiring players to determine the correct type of attack quickly. In addition, three black spheres will appear instead of one, and players must destroy all of them. Using regular attacks to keep them together or vacuum attacks to pull them close will help.

Gates 3

Next in the Lost Ark Brelshaza Hard Mode are gates 3 & 4. In Gate 3, an additional meteor will drop during the 145 HP Mechanic, allowing players to clear the type test for the second one if they are fast enough for the first one. At the 100 HP mechanic, players must look out for two additional gimmicks: the Stagger buff and the Medusa eyes. Yellow meteors will land and leave yellow buffs that players can pick up to increase their stagger, while orbs keep spawning around the boss, which players need to look at or away from while trying to stun her. The Rage Mod at the 85 HP mark deals significantly more damage in Hard Mode.

When doing the Shapes gimmick at the 42 HP mechanic, players must react to Medusa Eyes appearing all over accordingly. For the Normal Shapes attack, players need to bring two shapes close to the boss instead of just one, while the Maze Attack targets three random players with spears instead of one. Knowing how to navigate through the labyrinth is crucial. By the 0 HP mechanic, Medusa’s eyes will also appear all around the arena, but fortunately, this part is much more forgiving.

Gate 4

In gate 4, the floor explosions happen more quickly. There are different cubes you have to fight through. During the Red Cube, yellow orbs will appear at the edge of the platform, and if they hit the boss, it will increase its damage, so you have to absorb every one of them. During the Stagger mechanics of the cubes, you have to stay in designated positions and avoid attacks on the ground. In the Yellow Cube, you have to dodge purple projectors that will leave AoE damage, and during the Stagger phase, they will also apply Seduce to players in the yellow area, making them attack other teammates. In the Star Cube, you have to Stagger the boss while avoiding linear attacks that will pull you close to it if you get hit.

Gates 5 & 6

Next in the Lost Ark Brelshaza Hard Mode are gates 5 & 6. In Gate 5, the Shapes will be assigned randomly, and you will have to dodge targeting lasers and counter Lost Ark Brelshaza Hard Mode during the Stagger Mechanic to avoid being silenced. There are also different attacks that will cause you to lose stacks.

Gate 6 is a challenging level where players need to focus on survival because attacks will hurt a lot more. During the Golden Meteor Phase, players need to memorize the proper placements because there can no longer be more than one or two meteors per floor. In the Last Stand sequence, players must counter the blue meteors that drop at specific spots and ignore the red ones. Failing to destroy Brelshaza’s shield during this sequence will result in a wipe.
