LAC vs SAS Dream 11: Can Leonard return for a big night against his former side?
Load management was the talking point from the Los Angeles Clippers’ last game as they lost to the Utah Jazz.
The Clippers have the best NBA player on their roster after a lot of wheeling and dealing in the summer, but chose to rest Kawhi Leonard in this game (h/t NBA).
The Jazz ran out 110-96 winners but Leonard should be back to face his former side the San Antonio Spurs.
San Antonio are undefeated after three games of the regular season. Gregg Popovich will hope to take his Spurs to the playoffs once again, and this will be a real test as they face the Clippers.
Spurs beat the Portland Trail Blazers in their previous game and saw a great contribution from Derrick White off the bench.

Point guards
Derrick White didn’t start in the win over the Blazers but the San Antonio star did a great job off the bench.
White scored 21 points off the bench and is the only player for this position.
Shooting guards
DeMar DeRozan might not have been the happiest to move to San Antonio but he is doing a good job in Texas.
The former Raptors star is the only shooting guard for this game after scoring 27 points against the Blazers.
Small forwards
This is where the bulk of the points should come from the game. Leonard will face the Spurs and could be hot against his former side.
The former Raptors star has started his career well in LA and could be the difference in this game.
Rudy Gay is the other option for this game while Maurice Harkless is added into the team to balance out the credits.
Power forwards
JaMychal Green was the surprise star for the Clipper in their loss to the Jazz.
He started off the bench but exploded to score 23 points from just 27 minutes, and could do a similar job against the Spurs.
Centers
LA have a couple of quality centers in their side and it makes sense to go with them against the Spurs.
Ivica Zubac has been excellent throughout the start of the season and the Croatian is partnered by teammate Montrezl Harrell.
Star player
Leonard will face his former team after taking a break in the previous game. The former Spurs star has to be the star player for this game.
Prediction
A returning Leonard should be enough to dispatch the Spurs, even with the talent they have under Popovich.
Doc Rivers is building something great in LA and there could be a lot of points in this clash for the Clippers.
