Ending his school career with 46,70 yards, and 43 touchdowns.
After completing his schooling he got admission to the University of Pittsburg and which led to the next phase of his football career. In Pittsburgh’s season-ending game against the Miami Hurricanes, who were ranked second, he made his first career start. He completed 18 of 29 throws for 193 yards and a touchdown during the team’s shocking triumph. He also ran for 60 yards and two more scores. He completed 39 of 66 throws for 509 yards, one touchdown, and one interception overall during the season.
Later he started all the games for Pittsburg in all seasons. In 2020, because of the covid-19 pandemic situation, the season was shortened. But within that short time, he became eligible to play in the bowl game but the team opted out not to play postseason, so he missed the opportunity to play at the bowl.
