Jalen Hurts is considered one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL today, a dual threat with his many talents on the field. Hurts was drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles in 2020 during Round 2 as the 53rd overall pick. Coming from the Alabama Crimson Tide and the University of Oklahoma, the quarterback had vast experience as a quarterback.

He took over with the Eagles in the quarterback position in December 2020 when Carson Wentz became less effective on the field. He brought his college experience to the field, having been super successful with the Tide, throwing for 2,780 yards and 23 touchdowns during his rookie season.

Hurts was able to perform well in the beginning with the Eagles. During his second season, Hurts showed out, helping his team defeat the San Francisco 49ers during the NFC Championship game to make it to Super Bowl LVII. The buzz was electric around Super LVII as Hurts would take on another young quarterback, Patrick Mahomes, of the Kansas City Chiefs.

As the game drew near, it created historic betting across the United States, as fans wanted to support their favorite players. Operators placed solid odds on either team to win. Before the game started, the Chiefs were listed as slight favorites, but eventually, the odds were pushed toward the Eagles.

Unfortunately, Hurts and the Eagles could not pull out the win against the Kansas City Chiefs, but Hurts made a big impression on the NFL world with his exemplary performance on the field. The Eagles decided to sign him on for five more years, and he is currently the league’s highest-paid player.
