How to Beat Werewolf in Witcher 3

Stop the werewolf from regenerating

You can tell that a werewolf is beginning to regenerate health when they stop fighting you and howl a long while before they throw their heads back. Werewolves can regenerate health at an alarming rate, restoring their health bars in a matter of moments and undoing everything you do towards them. These monsters can have a quick reversion to full health after they are slain by an unprepared player. Fortunately, a bomb called Moon Dust can stop them from regenerating health.

There are two ingredients for Moon Dust, quicksilver solution and saltpeter. The formula for combining them can be found in several places, but the simplest is at the Herbalists Hut, located to the northeast of Oxenfurt for 248 crowns. You can craft two bombs by selecting the Moon Dust formula in your alchemy menu. They will recharge when you meditate. You can assign these bombs to your slot in your inventory once you have the ingredients. You will now be able to throw a Moon Dust bomb at werewolves when you see them preparing to howl and heal.

Use Igni

A Witcher’s Igni magic sign is probably the most commonly used of all signs because of its excellent versatility and caustic power even against foes that are not particularly prone to fire. The Witcher’s scorching blast is one of the most effective ways to deal with lycanthropes as they are weak to fire and get stunned briefly when they are hit by Igni.

Use Cursed Oil

If you put the Cursed Oil on your sword, it will give you a great advantage. It can be applied to your sword in the inventory page to increase your attack damage by 10%, or even more if you’ve upgraded it.

Use different spells

There are lots of spells that you can use. Choosing the right spell will definitely help you in this fight. Yrden can be helpful for slowing down werewolves, making it easier to catch up to and attack them. Another useful spell that you can use for fighting werewolves, or any enemy, is Quen. Casting Quen will help create a protective shield around Geralt. Quen can be extremely helpful to players who need a quick moment of healing.

With all these techniques, you will definitely be able to beat Werewolves. Keep in mind that you will need to be perfect at dodging so that you can be safe from enemy attacks. You will have to be strong at defense and look for the right opportunity to deal the damage. Don’t be very greedy for attacks. Take your time and then show your skills at the right moment.
