Fortnite: Battle Royale offers a competitive game mode called Late Game Arena, available in Solo and Trio. You earn points for placement or kills. This mode is generally used for practicing for tournaments. The Fortnite Late Game Arena Mode is finally returning and here are all the details you should know.
Fortnite Late Game Arena Mode Release Date
Prior to Chapter 3 Season 4’s official launch date, the Late Game Arena is going to return on August 30.
Fortnite Late Game Arena Mode Rewards
A player will receive Hype when they complete certain actions in the Fortnite Late Game Arena mode, such as getting eliminated or making it to the top 10. The system is similar to other competitive Arena modes. As players earn Hype, they’ll advance through the ranks and face tougher opponents.
Late Game Arena Mode Explained
Solos
Solos is primarily a matter of choosing whether to play placement or W-Key, since nine eliminations are challenging, but getting a Victory Royale is also difficult. Placements in the top 25 and top 15 will give 60 hype points, while placing in the top 15 and top 5 will yield 30 hype points. You will also receive 60 hype points for the Victory Royale and 20 hype points for each elimination. 9 eliminations is the equivalent of a victory royale plus all previous placements combined.
Duos
It’s more likely that you’ll get points if you play for placement in Duos, as getting 18 kills in duos is much harder than doing a Victory Royale, but a lot depends on your teammate’s gameplay style. A place in the top 12 will earn you 60 hype points, while placing in the top 7 and 3 will earn you 30 hype points. For Victory Royales, you’ll get 60 hype points, and every elimination will earn you 10 hype points.
Trios
The hardest thing about trios is to get 26 eliminations, but playing for placement is also difficult since it doesn’t matter how many players are alive, but how many teams are left. It will be worth 60 hype points to place top 8, 30 hype points to place top 4, and 7 hype points to place top 2. In the Victory Royale, you get 60 hype points, like Duos and Solos, and 7 hype points for each elimination. Comparatively, 26 eliminations will give more hype than a Victory Royale plus all previous placements, while 25 eliminations will give less hype.
