Jake Paul has called out Conor McGregor several times but the Irishman has played it cool

BJ Flores was the latest guest on The Schmozone podcast and all the talk was around Jake Paul and his desire to fight someone from the MMA circuit.

Paul had defeated NBA star Nate Robinson via knockout in a boxing match and called out Conor McGregor and Dillon Danis.

While McGregor hasn’t responded, Danis has blasted Paul but was attacked by the YouTuber with water balloons recently.

McGregor also has kept his cool despite Paul posting a horribly abusive video directed at the Irishman and Dana White.

However, Flores isn’t worried about his client being beaten up and believes Paul can do well. He claimed that some other stars could be beaten up before taking the fight to McGregor:

“He is right in the thick of things, coming off the fight against Nate [Robinson].

“We are not saying Nate is a great fighter, nobody is saying that but we know what we know. That is why we are very confident going ahead with these MMA guys.

“You see Nate Diaz calling Jake out, Dillon Danis calling him out, you see Conor McGregor not calling him out, but that is fine.

“If you got to beat two more people to really put it in every body’s face, then we are happy to do it.”

Time to knockout McGregor

Flores was asked if Paul was ready to actually take on McGregor. The Irishman is one of the greatest MMA athletes ever and has won several titles in his career.

The coach claimed that Paul was ready to fight but he would have preferred for some more experience:

“In the boxing ring, yeah, he really could.

“I would like for him to have a little more experience but if we got the fight with Conor, he would take it in a second.

“I genuinely believe over six or eight rounds we win the fight, I do. But people can’t comprehend that, they cannot understand how Jake Paul, a kid who just started boxing three years ago, how he could possibly compete against one of the greatest strikers in UFC history.”

He also made a huge claim that McGregor would not be able to knockout Paul but the other way was more than possible:

“He [Conor McGregor] is one my favourite fighters. I love him. I think he is an amazing fighter great personality but you bring him to the boxing ring, he is going to have a very tough time with Jake.

“He is definitely not knocking Jake out but Jake has a good chance to knock him out and he could probably out point him too.”

It will be interesting to see what happens next in all this. White, the UFC president, offered Amanda Nunes, one of the greatest female athletes to Paul but Flores rubbished that option.

Paul seems desperate for a boxing match against a MMA star and hopefully, he doesn’t bite off more than he can chew.
