Big changes are coming to the all-time favourite Pro Evolution Soccer with the rebranded eFootball 2022 and here is all about the release date, road map and Master League

Pro Evolution Soccer or simply PES is a football simulator game released by Konami. The game was first launched in 1995 and became an instant hit. It has 18 main series games with many spin-off games. There were some rumours about changes being made to the game but no one could have expected this.

Konami has announced that PES will be now called as eFootball and will be free-to-play. This is a piece of amazing news to all the fans. It will be the new generation of PES 22. They will not release a new game but rather add new elements and features to the game regularly. The game will also utilize Epics’ Unreal Engine giving fans a completely new gaming experience.

Key Events for eFootball (Konami)

Konami has released a road map detailing the schedule of the events related to the new eFootball. The new game engine will be released in early autumn with matches using all the renowned clubs. They will also add support for cross-generational matches between the PS5 and PS4 as well as Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One. Online Leagues and Team building mode will be added in Autumn. During this time they will also add cross-platform matches between the console and PC versions. The Match Pass System will be eFootball’s Battle Pass. This will also be added in Autumn.

In winter, they are planning to kick off the first esports tournament. They will add cross-platform support for the consoles, PC and mobile devices during this time. The mobile devices will have controller support. This will enable the mobile players to play at the same level as the console and PC players. 

eFootball Master League and teams

Konami has not announced a Master League or Career mode for the new eFootball. Their schedule is pretty packed till the winter with all the cross-platform support and the new esports tournament. If they are planning to add a Career Mode, then it will be in 2022.

Only the renowned clubs have been confirmed for eFootball. The confirmed teams are Barcelona, Juventus, Bayern Munich, Manchester United, Arsenal, Corinthians, Flamengo, Sao Paulo and River Plate. They are bound to add more teams after launch.

eFootball Release Date

According to the road map released by Konami, the game will release in early autumn. This could mean we will get to play the new game as early as September. They have not released a specific date as of yet. But Konami has ensured that they will release more details soon. 

Fans are excited about this new game. It will be a serious competition to FIFA 22 which is also releasing at the same time. The free-to-play feature and the cross-platform ability is what will attract most people to try out the new game.
