Deiveson Figueiredo might have picked up the UFC title a little late in his career but he is always willing to fight.

The 32-year-old is called the God of War and only became a UFC champion in 2020. However, he has been excellent in the UFC and there are very few who can compete with him pound-for-pound.

Figueiredo wasn’t always into MMA and the Brazilian used to help his father as a cowboy.

However, he moved to Belem and started training in capoeira in school before training in MMA at the age of 16.

The Brazilian also worked as a hairdresser, chef and more before making it big in MMA.

The 32-year-old, like every MMA fighter, doesn’t earn a monthly salary but is paid per fight. While the Brazilian has over 20 fights in his professional career, only his UFC pay outs are available.

His first fight in the promotion, which was a win, earned him $22,500. The pay outs kept on increasing as he continued his winning streak.

Figueiredo’s first six-figure pay out was when he beat Alexandre Pantoja and earned $101,000.

The two fights against Joseph Benavidez got him $125,000 and $230,000, respectively. In his second last outing, against Alex Perez, Figueiredo earned $310,000 for the win.

Deiveson Figueiredo currently holds an MMA record of 20 wins, one loss and one draw. He started his MMA career in Brazil and defeated Aliusio Ferreira in 2012.

The Brazilian won several fights across promotions in his native and amassed an incredible record of 11 wins and no losses before making his UFC debut.

That took place at UFC 212 where he faced Marco Beltran and defeated him thanks to a doctor’s stoppage.

The God of War picked up three more wins but was handed his first professional loss against Jussier Formiga in 2019.

However, Figueiredo wasn’t hurt with this and kept on pushing. He won his next two fights to earn a title shot against Joseph Benavidez.

Figueiredo won the fight but couldn’t get the title since he missed weight. The vacant title was finally won in the rematch as he dominated the UFC star.

Alex Perez was his next opponent and Figueiredo made light work of his rival in his first title defence.

His last fight was against Brandon Moreno which was a unanimous draw.

Deiveson Figueiredo defended his title against Brandon Moreno in his previous fight.

The 32-year-old accepted this fight for UFC 256 just after defending his title at UFC 255 and beating Alex Perez.

However, the fight was a unanimous draw with two judges being unable to decide who was the winner. The Brazilian was still able to keep his title.
