American tennis pro – Sloane Stephens will have to bring her A-game when she faces world No. 1 Iga Swiatek in the round of 32 of the Cincinnati Masters.

The 29-year-old would be the first one to put up her hand and admit that she has had a poor season as of now. Apart from winning her seventh title in Guadalajara, Mexico, in February, her returns have left a lot to be desired. The 2017 US Open champion did make it to the quarterfinals at the French Open but she failed to progress beyond the first round in most of the other tournaments she played.
At the Canadian Open, she won her first match against Sofia Kenin but lost in the second round against Maria Sakkari. The 29-year-old has started her campaign in Cincinnati on an impressive note with a resounding victory against Alize Cornet 6-1, 6-0.
Iga Swiatek
The Polish tennis pro has been sensational this season. She has already bagged six titles in 2022 and all have them come in consecutive tournaments.
At Wimbledon, her winning streak finally came to an end in the third round. She was defeated by Alize Cornet. In front of her home fans in the Poland Open, she was expected to go the distance but Caroline Garcia stopped her progress in the quarterfinal. At the recently-concluded Canadian Open, she was ousted in the round of 16 by eventual finalist Beatriz Haddad Maia.

Iga Swiatek should come out victorious in straight sets unless Stephens can produce something spectacular.
