Apex Legends Shadow Society Event Brings a Cutthroat Free-For-All

Apex Legends Shadow Society Event is here and a ton of new content is expected in this event.

Apex Legends is back with its new event and it getting players excited as the trailer showed off a bunch of new content for this game. Since its release, Apex Legends has been very consistent with its events and seasonal updates. This keeps the game fresh and keep it from becoming stale.

Apex Legends recently celebrated their 5 year anniversary and it is great to see that the community is still high and thriving thanks to the fresh content the developers release. My personal opinion about this game is that, when it comes to battle royale games, Respawn Entertainment’s gameplay is far superior and set a gold standard in first person shooting games.

Apex Legends Shadow Society Event- New Mode

Firstly, this limited-time mode is called Lockdown and this is a variation on the Control mode but with a twist. After 5 years, Apex Legends has finally introduced a 4 player free for more. In the beginning seasons, solos were introduced along with duos.

Duos became a permanent mode in the game and we are finally getting a 4 player mode in the Apex Legends Shadow Society Event. This is a typical capture the flag mode where players are assigned to capture zones and earn points. The team to reach a specific point limit wins.

Apex Legends Shadow Society Event- Cosmetics and Goodies

Ah finally, most of the players are eager for the cosmetics that are released every event and strive to collect them all. There are 36 different items to collect in this event and the Legends like Mad Maggie, Horizon, and Ballistic are confirmed to have legendary skins.

There is a milestone rewards system too that can let players earn other cosmetics by completing event objectives. These rewards include banner frames, emotes, and weapon charms for players. This event also included a new melee weapon skin.

Players who complete the event checklist and earn all 36 items in the Apex Legends Shadow Society Event can obtain an Apex artifact called the “Cobalt Katar”. This is a melee weapon skin similar to the Final Fantasy sword that players obtained during the Apex Legends x Final Fantasy event.

Even if players are unable to collect all items in this collection event, this melee weapon skin can be purchased via in-game currency/ microtransactions. Finally, players can earn a reputation by completing daily event challenges and using that currency to purchase items in this event. To show off their skins, players can boast even after death by equipping a “Cobalt Death Box” which is a exclusive cosmetic for death boxes.

There are some changes and bug fixes in the game too focusing on performance issues and gameplay balancing. Apex Legends is still one of the best battle royale games in the market and one of the top Esports games in the world. Who knows, we might finally get a Titanfall 3 soon.
