Pavlyuchenkova has won three junior Grand Slam titles and at the age of 14, she became junior world No. 1, in January 2006. In her junior career, Pavlyuchenkova accumulated an overall win/loss of record of 131–23 and 87–22 in singles and doubles, respectively.

While playing junior tennis, Pavlyuchenkova simultaneously turned pro in December 2005. From 2005 to 2008, Pavlyuchenkova enjoyed considerable success at the ITF and WTA tournaments.
