WWE SmackDown Results and Grades: Roman Reigns was to address the WWE Universe after teaming up with Paul Heyman.

That worked out well for the Big Dog as he won the Universal Title but also turned heel in the process.

There was a lot more set up for an explosive edition of SmackDown, and here are the results and grades from this Friday’s WWE show.

The Big Dog is here

Reigns came out to a chorus of boos and Heyman claimed that the Big Dog pulled him in and not the other way around.

Heyman also criticised former champions and used his normal terms to describe Reigns. The champion then claimed he didn’t care who won the Fatal 4-way match later in the evening, as he would easily defeat them.

Grade A

This was the perfect explanation as to why Reigns teamed up with Heyman. WWE pushed him aside and the Big Dog stopped caring and pandering to the masses.

Heyman is great on the microphone and this should be an incredible team that can dominate SmackDown.

Stealing the briefcase

Heavy Machinery faced off against John Morrison and The Miz in a tag match. Otis got the win by pinning the Miz, however, Morrison stole the Money in the Bank Briefcase and ran off.

Sheamus then attacked Big E, who was to fight in the Fatal 4-way match and the New Day member was laid out on top of a car.

Grade C

The match between the two tag teams wasn’t great and it was surprising that WWE didn’t allow Big E to compete in the No.1 contender’s match.

It was also later revealed that Otis had taken the contract out of the briefcase and put it in his lunch box, Morrison only got Otis’ lunch.

No more Golden Role Models

Bayley and Sasha Banks were keen on reclaiming the WWE Women’s Tag title from Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler.

Banks’ knee was targeted by Baszler but both teams put on a show. However, it was Jax who got the win for her team as they kept hold of the titles.

Bayley then attacked her partner and injured her knee. She also took her out as Banks was being taken away in an ambulance.

WWE then teased a lady featuring next week who was wearing heels and a fur coat. Bray Wyatt also claimed a new friend would join then next week.

Grade B

The match certainly was a great one and there was a story in all this for once. A Banks-Bayley split was coming but it was a surprise that it was Bayley that went rogue and turned heel on her friend.

It will be interesting to see what is next between the former best friends.

Zayn talks the talk; Fatal 4-way match

Sami Zayn came out and wasn’t happy that he wasn’t called as the Intercontinental champion. Jeff Hardy and AJ Styles then interrupted and it led to a brawl with Zayn standing tall.

Jey Uso was then named as E’s replacement in the 4-way match. Matt Riddle, Baron Corbin and Sheamus were the others in the clash.

In a surprise, it was Uso who won the clash and he even cut a promo calling Reigns into the Uso Penetentiary.

Uso wins Fatal 4-way

Grade B

The match was another decent one and worthy of being a main event, but it was interesting to see Jey win it.

Reigns and Uso are relatives and that could lead to some interesting storylines in all this. Will Reigns destroy his relative or will this lead to another faction forming?

All this and more will be answered at Clash of Champions.
