WWE SmackDown Results and Grades: Roman Reigns continued to dominate the talk about his Universal Title as Clash of Champions was just around the corner.

He is to face his cousin, Jey Uso, for the title and has turned heel since returning to WWE. AJ Styles, Jeff Hardy and Sami Zayn are also in a feud to decide who is the Intercontinental Champion.

However, we start off with the Miz and Otis on this week’s WWE SmackDown results and grades

Miz gets embarrassed

The Miz and John Morrison were in the middle of the ring as A Lister explained how sending Mandy Rose to Raw would help Otis concentrate on winning the Universal title.

Otis then attacked the Miz and was out to destroy him and stripped him but Tucker took his partner away. Afterwards, Otis was served legal papers from lawyers.

Grade C

WWE has taken one of their hottest talents and wasted him again. The rivalry with the Miz just isn’t cutting it and this was another promo which didn’t click one bit.

Cesaro vs Metalik

One-half of the WWE SmackDown Tag Team champions, Cesaro, took on Grand Metalik of Lucha House Party.

Lince Dorado and Kalisto argued so much that they were sent to the back by the referee as Cesaro picked up the win.

Grade C

The match wasn’t the important storyline in all this as Kalisto seems close to leaving LHP.

Sister Abigail in Bliss?

Alexa Bliss called out Nikki Cross for A Moment of Bliss. She asked how Cross would defeat Bayley for the title but the Scot claimed that Sasha Banks could help her win.

Cross then asked why Bliss used Sister Abigail last week, but Bliss couldn’t explain her actions. This saw the not dead Lacey Evans mock both friends.

A brawl ensued and a match took place with her and Cross. She even used sanitiser in Cross’ eyes but couldn’t get the win.

Bliss then attacked Evans also with the Sister Abigail after the Southern Belle spoke about the Fiend.

Grade B

The match was decent and the interview wasn’t bad, though we didn’t get any answers. Bliss seems set to join the Fiend but WWE is making us wait so long.

Bayley makes another move

In a surprise, Sasha Banks was back on SmackDown after the heinous attack by her former best friend Bayley.

Banks was emotional during the interview as she enjoyed her time with Bayley. However, Bayley wasn’t too pleased with all this and attacked Banks with a chair.

Grade B

Bayley continued being the brilliant heel that she has become over the past few weeks and Banks’ comments were moving too.

It is going to be interesting to see how this develops over the next few weeks and could be one of the best rivalries on WWE.

Styles vs Zayn

AJ Styles and Sami Zayn battled hard with both stars using all their best moves. It was Styles who got the win in the end thanks to a roll up and Hardy attacked both men.

The IC champion then declared that the trio would meet at Clash of Champions in a Ladder Match for the IC title.

Styles beats Zayn

Grade B

A ladder match with three of the best performers in WWE should be an incredible match. Zayn coming back to SmackDown has made the IC title fun and with Styles on board, you will never have a dull moment.

Reigns and Uso team up

The two cousins teamed up to face Sheamus and King Corbin. Sheamus narrowly avoided an attack from the returning Big E but the tag match was fun.

This was a Samoan street fight and chairs and tables were brought into the action. In the end, it was Uso who got the win for the team but his cousin wasn’t all too pleased.

Uso and Reigns beat Sheamus and Corbin

Grade B

This was a rather tame street fight compared to some of the other things we have seen over the years. However, the main talking point is the rivalry between Jey and Reigns, and it will be interesting to see what happens next.
