WWE SmackDown preview: The first SmackDown after WrestleMania should focus mostly around the new champions.
Braun Strowman became the new Universal champion after beating Goldberg and the SmackDown star should be in great spirits despite no fans in the arena.
WWE SmackDown also has several other important stories ahead of the new season and here is a preview of what could happen on Friday night.
Bliss and Cross have a rematch
Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross won the Women’s Tag Team titles at WrestleMania 36, but they will have to defend them on Friday.
The Kabuki Warriors enjoyed a great run as champions but will try to win the titles back on SmackDown.
Asuka and Kairi Sane will be looking at revenge, and it will be interesting to see how this fight goes.
The champion speaks out?
Strowman finally broke his big title duck and won the Universal crown against. The Monster Among Men survived several spears at WrestleMania from Goldberg and still went on to beat the legend.
It will be interesting to see what is next for Strowman as he brings in a new era on SmackDown. Will he get a new challenger or is there going to be a bit of a party after his win?
Will The Fiend make an appearance?
John Cena was defeated in electric fashion by The Fiend thanks to an incredible story-match at WrestleMania.
The Fiend will now look for a new target and he should have one, given how great the match between him and Cena was.
WWE didn’t use the Fiend much after his loss to Goldberg, but this is the perfect time to let him in.
Rift between Bayley and Banks?
Sasha Banks helped Bayley to keep her SmackDown Women’s Title at WrestleMania. However, the Boss didn’t seem to be all that happy after helping her best friend win.
There was also a bit of a miscommunication between the pair in that Fatal 5-way match, and there could be a rift between the two on this week’s SmackDown.
