We start off this WWE NXT TakeOver: XXX results and grades piece with an important match for the tag division.

Triple threat tag match for No.1 contender’s spot

Breezango, Legado del Fantasma and Danny Burch & Oney Lorcan clashed to be the No.1 contender for Imperium’s tag titles.

The match was part of the pre-show and it was Breezango who picked up the win.

Breezango become No.1 contenders

Grade C

This was a short and quick match but it had some great spots. Breezango coming back into the title scene is fun, and it will be interesting to see what is next for them.

The Demon Prince is back

Finn Balor had revenge on his mind against Timothy Thatcher. The submission specialist took advantage after Balor injured his leg trying to land his finisher. However, it was Balor that got the win in the end.

Balor beats Thatcher

Grade B

Both stars had different styles and that was on show today. It could have been a better match but nevertheless, Balor got a great win to hopefully, move on to better things.

Ladder match for North American title

Cameron Grimes, Bronson Reed, Velveteen Dream, Johnny Gargano and Damian Priest all had the chance to win the title via the ladder.

This was a chaotic match with Candice LeRae, and her husband Gargano, even teaming up to hit Grimes.

It seemed that Dream was going to win the title but Priest was just able to get the title after Reed interrupted.

Priest becomes new NXT North American champion

Grade A

This was an excellent match as each star got time to shine in the match. Priest getting the title is great for his career as he continues getting a push in WWE.

Cole vs McAfee

Adam Cole and Pat McAfee were finally able to slug it out in a ring. McAfee had his helpers by his ringside while Cole sent the rest of the Undisputed Era back.

The Era did return later in the match as Cole and McAfee clashed. While McAfee had a few close class and even hit Cole with a punt kick, it was the former NXT Champion who got the win via his finisher.

Cole beats McAfee

Grade A

McAfee coming into the ring was the big question and the former NFL star was brilliant in this clash. Cole getting the win was always going to happen, and it will be interesting to see what is next for the UE.

Shirai vs Kai

The NXT Women’s title was on the line next with Dakota Kai trying to get the crown from Io Shirai.

Raquel Gonzalez had her role to play as she tried to help Kai. However, Rhea Ripley came out to nullify that threat after the match as Shirai kept hold of the title.

Shirai beats Kai

Grade

B

Kai and Shirai both put on a show early on and this was a very well thought out match. Gonzalez vs Ripley seems set next and that could be a brilliant rivalry.

Lee vs Kross

Lee and Kross started this match as expected. The pair kept taking shots at each other with some big spots and moves.

However, it was Kross that ended up winning the title thanks to a risky move from the top rope.

Kross beats Lee

Grade B

Kross has received an incredible push from WWE and this win over Lee was a bit surprising given that Lee won the title a couple of months back.

However, the title scene could change again. Triple H confirmed that Kross had suffered a separated shoulder and that could see the new champion out for a while.
