Zelina Vega became the inaugural queen’s crown winner after beating Doudrop at Crown Jewel 2021
Zelina Vega made history by beating Doudrop at Crown Jewel 2021 to become the first Queen’s Crown winner.
Doudrop began with a massive slam and followed it up with an elbow drop. Vega responded with a tornado DDT before trying to choke out Doudrop with a Dragon Sleeper hold.
Although, Doudrop began establishing her authority in the match, the momentum swung in Vega’s favour after the former missed a cannonball.
However, Doudrop responded with a sidewalk slam, but it wasn’t enough to put Vega out.
Finally, Vega executed the Code Red powerbomb to pin Doudrop, and thereby become the first-ever winner of the Queen’s Crown.
An ecstatic Vega’s joy knew no bounds after the official announcement.
Malakai Black reacts to Zelina Vega’s win
Malakai Black, Zelina Vega’s husband was all eyes on the game. Taking to Twitter, he posted a crown emoji.

It is worth noting that Black was released by the WWE on the 2nd of June as a part of their budget cuts. His release came just months after the WWE teased a promising new storyline for Black.
A month after his release, on the 7th of July, Black made his AEW debut. He made his in-ring debut on the 4th of August, and defeated Cody Rhodes.
