Next Week’s Raw will be taking place inside Amalie Arena in Tampa Bay, Florida. However, it is still not clear if WWE SmackDown on FOX will also move to a TV-14 rating. Since SmackDown Program has not struggled from a rating standpoint like RAW.

This news came as WWE remained under scrutiny by investors and its board of directors.McMahon has stepped down from his corporate duties but he is still in charge of WWE’s creative direction.

How does the PG-Era begin in WWE?

It all began on June 22nd, 2008 when WWE took a more family-friendly approach and they soften the on-screen product and removed professional wrestling staples like blood and cursing.

The move coincided with Linda McMahon transitioning into a political career. McMahon lost two Senatorial campaigns in 2010 and 2012, both times running in Connecticut, losing to Senators Richard Blumenthal and Chris Murphy, respectively.

WWE’s move to PG programming was a big win for the competition as there were more rival promotions like/Impact Wrestling, and Ring of Honor, who were doing their blood bit. Most recently, All Elite Wrestling has emerged as the biggest competition to WWE since World Championship Wrestling folded in 2001, and has seen significant success with the TV-14 shows “AEW Dynamite” and “AEW Rampage.”
