Carmelo Hayes is the WWE NXT North American Champion from a long time now. But what is next for him?
Christian Brigham aka Carmelo Hayes is currently signed to WWE where he performs on the NXT brand. He is the current NXT North American Champion which he won last year by cashing in his Breakout Tournament contract on Isaiah “Swerve” Scott.
Hayes is enjoying his first reign as a champion and is also recognized as the final Cruiserweight Champion which he won against Roderick Strong to unify both the titles. He successfully retained his titles against some of the bigger names in NXT like Johnny Gargano, Pete Dunne, etc.
Carmelo was signed by WWE on February 12, 2021, where he was assigned to WWE Performance Center. He made his in-ring debut on June 1 against Kushida.
What’s next for NXT North American Champion Carmelo Hayes
Carmelo Hayes was recently spotted with AEW Stars Ricky Starks and Daniel Garcia. They were joined by Bullet Club member Chris Bey. All four men are in Dallas during WrestleMania 38 weekend.
Daniel Garcia shared a photo on Twitter where Carmelo was also spotted,
There might be a chance that these AEW stars might be heading towards WWE or we might see Hayes in AEW. Starks is the current FTW Champion and in the meantime, Garcia also joined the Jericho Appreciation Society.
Over at IMPACT Wrestling, Chris Bey was recruited into the Bullet Club in 2021 by Jay White who offered him a spot. Since then he has become an established member of the stable.
