Wade Barrett shared the two things that Vince McMahon did not like in WWE

Former WWE star Wade Barrett was speaking during a special session of Inside the Ropes and shared some of his thoughts on the Nexus and Vince McMahon.

The Nexus comprised of the first set of NXT stars that invaded Raw and created a huge impact. They attacked John Cena and demanded a contract with WWE, however, there was one angle that saw the firing of Daniel Bryan.

Bryan attacked Justin Roberts and choked him, and Barrett explained that there were two things that Vince McMahon did not like:

“We knew from being in developmental that two things were a no-no. One was choking and the other was spitting.

“Those are two things you do not do since Vince hates them.”

Barrett highlighted that Bryan didn’t come through the developmental scene and had a different bringing to WWE.

He choked Roberts out and also spat at Cena, which got a lot of sponsors upset. That led to his axing from WWE but Bryan did make a return to promotion later on and is still one of the top stars.

Nexus causing a scene

The arrival of the Nexus in 2010 certainly created one of the most memorable moments in WWE history.

Barrett added that he and his Nexus members were asked to rip apart everything and attack the wrestlers, commentators and other WWE personnel.

However, there were two things they couldn’t attack. They couldn’t attack the crowd or damage the hi-def cameras.

Barrett had a great career in WWE but they seemed to lose interest in him later on. Bad News Barrett, as he was known in his final days in WWE, even won the King of the Ring and the Intercontinental Championship.

However, after leaving WWE, he hasn’t wrestled much and instead has taken up non-wrestling roles in other promotions.
