Steve Maclin formerly known as Steve Cutler in the WWE is all set to make his Impact Wrestling debut

Steve Maclin was released by the WWE earlier this year in February, after being a part of the promotion for almost seven years.

He spent the majority of his WWE career in NXT and was part of the popular stable Forgotten Sons alongside Wesley Blake and Jaxson Ryker. Only recently he began appearing in the main roster, with Maclin and Blake emerging as King Corbin’s knights on WWE SmackDown.

His release is believed to have been triggered due to him contracting COVID-19 at a New Year’s Eve party.

A couple of months ago Maclin posted a vignette on Twitter showing himself sitting with a bottle of Jameson and pouring it onto a glass. The vignette ends with Maclin emptying the glass, with his legs resting on the table.

Earlier today, popular wrestling promotion Impact Wrestling shared the same vignette on their official Twitter page announcing the arrival of Steve Maclin.

It is worth noting that, Maclin’s girlfriend Deonna Purrazzo who was once a part of the WWE, plies her trade in Impact Wrestling.

His move to Impact Wrestling was met with a predominantly positive response:

Impact Wrestling goes from Frank Sinatra to Dick Walter

There was a small difference between the vignette Maclin shared a couple of months ago and the one Impact Wrestling posted today.

The song featured in Maclin’s video was That’s Life by the legendary Frank Sinatra. However, Impact Wrestling changed the song, using probably a copyright-free song – Something’s New by Dick Walter.

It would have probably cost a boatload of cash to use a Frank Sinatra song on TV.
