Triple H in contact for the return of former NXT Champion Aleister Black
WWE COO Triple H is rumored to bring back former NXT Superstar Aleister Black after public outcry for the Dutch wrestler.
Russobrand (h/t Wrestling Edge) confirmed that NXT and H had been in contact with Black over a possible return.
Aleister Black was part of the releases in early June with Braun Strowman, Lana and Ruby Riott. The decision came as a shock as Black just made his return on WWE SmackDown after a long hiatus to confront Big E. Since then, there has been no word about his return after many of the backroom staff wanted him back.
However, Black doesn’t seem interested in a WWE return now and there doesn’t seem to be any head way into getting him back.
“During the process of Zelina Vega’s return, Aleister Black was released. As of now, he’s not appeared on any internal roster sheets indicating that he’d be brought back.”
Black is now completing a 90-day no compete clause which forbids him from joining any promotion in the wrestling industry. He has been one of the best wrestlers rising from NXT in recent times. His rivalry with Buddy Murphy on RAW was some of his best work, but he did not get enough time to fulfill his potential in the ring.
WWE Re-Sign Zelina Vega
Zelina Vega returned to WWE after appearing on SmackDown to face Liv Morgan in a Money in the Bank match. She was released from WWE after failing to close her OnlyFans account, against the company’s policy. Since then, there were reports of her returning to the WWE Performance Center.
Vega’s return is good news for Black, who was trending on Twitter after the episode. With WWE suffering paycuts, they are planning to bring back stars on lower salaries for the interim duration.
Will we see Black reunite with newly returned Vega in WWE?
