The McMahons have been going through a rough time as of late. Vince McMahon recently got involved in a huge controversy for paying a secret settlement of around $3 million to an employee with whom he allegedly had a sexual relationship.
The 76-year-old Vince McMahon stepped down from his position as WWE Chairman and CEO. His daughter Stephanie McMahon will be taking charge as the interim Chairwoman and CEO of the company until the investigation on Vince, concludes.
Stephanie McMahon had announced only a month back that she was taking a temporary leave from her role as Chief Brand Officer. She mentioned that the reason behind the decision was to focus on her family. Her time off was short-lived as she had to come back at this time of crisis to bail out the Stamford-based company.
Rumors developed online about the marriage of Triple H and Stephanie. Some people have pointed out on social media that Stephanie has been seen without her wedding ring on a few occasions.
Some even stated that Stephanie took time off from WWE as she was going through a divorce with the Cerebral Assassin.
As per a new update, everything is fine as far as Triple H and Stephanie McMahon’s marriage is concerned
Wade Keller of PWTorch audio show said that he was informed by a well-connected source that the rumors are baseless.
Keller said that Triple H and Stephanie are a team.
“I know when Hunter had his health problems, and then Stephanie stepped aside there were, I don’t wanna say rumors because that’s overstating it. [There was] conjecture that maybe there were marital issues that they were dealing with. I’m told that’s just flat out not the case and that they are a team.”
Keller went on to explain why Triple H reduced his work hours and Stephanie took a break. He said that Stephanie took time off to focus more on her young kids.
“Triple H works full time, he’s a talent scout, but Stephanie stepped away and they reduced their hours. Hunter reduced his hours. As I’ve talked about, Hunter was just drinking iced coffees constantly when he was not a caffeine guy beforehand, just to keep up with his demands. So he scaled back to a more focused job with less stress after his health scare, but he is full-time with WWE and Stephanie stepped away in part because of the age of their kids. And also just the idea that they have enough money, they want to appreciate life, and do some things outside of working for the company.”
Overall, things are not going smoothly for the McMahons. Pro wrestling fans are also in shock after the recent developments.
