30th April is a memorable date for WWE superstar Alexa Bliss. It was on this day, three years ago, that ‘The Goddess’ became the first superstar to win both Raw and SmackDown Women’s Championships.

Bliss has been with WWE since 2013. Having spent three years at NXT, she was drafted to SmackDown as part of the 2016 WWE draft in July.

Four months later, in December, Bliss would get her hands on the SmackDown Women’s gold when she defeated Becky Lynch in a tables’ match at TLC.

Bliss’ run with the Blue brand’s Championship lasted for three months, before Naomi took the belt from her in Elimination Chamber 2017.

However an injury forced the latter to vacate the title a few days later, allowing Bliss to clinch the gold again, becoming the first-ever two-time SmackDown Women’s Champion.

Bliss lost the belt once again to Naomi in April at WrestleMania 33. She was drafted into WWE Raw a week later as part of the superstar shakeup.

Thrust into the title feud against then- Raw Women’s champion Bayley straight away, Bliss won a fatal four-way match to become the No.1 contender and eventually went on to dethrone Bayley as the Red brand’s champion at Payback 2017, with a Snap DDT getting her the win.

In the process, Bliss became the first-ever superstar to have won both Raw and SmackDown Women’s Championships.

Bliss had a memorable run with the Raw Women’s gold. Having initially held on to the belt for 112 days, ‘The Goddess’ lost the title to Sasha Banks at SummerSlam. She would win it back only a week later.

Bliss then went on to dominate the Raw women’s wrestling scene, defending her title successfully at No Mercy 2017, TLC 2017 and Elimination Chamber 2018. Her 223-day reign with the title would come to an end at WrestleMania where she was overthrown by Nia Jax.

Bliss is currently one half of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, with Nikki Cross.
