Former presenter and commentator Renee Paquette announced earlier this year that she will leave WWE

Renee Paquette announced her decision to leave WWE in August 2020 at SummerSlam, stating that it would be her last event with the promotion.

Paquette joined WWE in 2012 and worked as a television host, interviewer, and occasional commentator.

A core part of WWE Backstage, Paquette established herself as a prominent member of the promotion.

It was at WWE that Paquette met her husband Jon Moxley (earlier known as Dean Ambrose) and started dating him in 2013, before tying the knot in 2017.

Since leaving the promotion, Paquette has had a happening life. The couple announced in November 2020 that they were expecting their first kid together.

Around that time, Paquette also announced that she is coming out with a cookbook of her own, titled ‘Messy In The Kitchen: My Guide to Eating Deliciously, Hosting Fabulously and Sipping Copiously‘.

In addition to achieving a lot in her outside WWE since her departure, Paquette has continued to shed light on her time with the promotion.

Renee Paquette tells what prompted her to leave WWE

After 8 years with WWE, many fans wondered why the presenter would leave all of a sudden. Paquette has dropped the clearest answer to that question yet on her podcast ‘Oral Sessions‘.

Renee Paquette discussed a lot of things on the podcast with her guest Megan Olivi, who is a backstage UFC correspondent and the wife of Joseph Benavidez.

After discussing about their similarities, Paquette eventually revealed why she decided to leave WW earlier this year.

She says that she felt like she had achieved everything that she wanted to with the promotion.

“I have kind of done everything here that I feel that I could do and I don’t see it growing anymore… So it’s time to go.”

Mentioning a little uncertainty about deciding what to do after leaving WWE, Paquette went on to say that just being able to focus on other personal things like her podcast was enough for her.

“That’s the thing that I want to be able to expand upon… to be able to help tell other people’s stories.”
