WWE superstar Paige is hoping for a miraculously soon WWE return
Former WWE Divas champion Paige has been out of wrestling for a long time after suffering a career-threatening injury during a house match. However, the WWE Diva wants to make a comeback to the ring and fight against Sasha Banks.
During a six-woman Tag Team match, Paige took a kick from Sasha in the neck, which hurt her and led to the stopping of the match. Paige never blamed Banks for any of it. She now wants to make a comeback and fight against The Boss.
Paige talked about the comeback in her Twitch this weekend. She praised the WWE star and quoted (h/t Cagesideseats):
“I would love to face Sasha [Banks]. I feel like it’s a built-in storyline, and she’s one of the best. She’s one of the best out there, men or women. She’s one of the best. Ain’t no one putting on friggin’ matches like her. Charlotte is great, everyone is great, but Sasha is one of those wrestlers that can fight a ladder, and it is a five star match. She’ll carry me too [laughs]. Help me out sis?”
She said her WWE contract runs through next June, which leaves time for her to make her return to the ring again.
Inspirations from Edge made Paige think about the WWE comeback
Paige’s last match came at a WWE house show on December 27, 2017, when she got injured and never wrestled again, but after WWE superstar Edge made a comeback at the Royal Rumble 2020 from a similar kind of injury gave her the hope to return to the ring again. She even tweeted about Edge’s return.
Suppose the medical professionals give her the green light and she is ready. In that case, this could become one of the great comebacks ever in WWE as this will be her second return as previously Paige made an against-all-odds return from Spinal Stenosis.
