Paige has a contract with WWE despite not doing any real work for them
Former WWE Divas and NXT Champion Paige has opened up on her contract status with the company.
Many regard Paige as one of the best to have graced the promotion. However, the British star had her career cut short after picking up a neck injury.
Paige has been working on getting her neck back into shape but she hasn’t spoken about when she could return.
While she hasn’t been on TV for more than a year, Paige revealed on her Twitch stream that she was still contracted with WWE till 2022.
However, she wasn’t sure of what the future held for her and wanted Twitch to be part of the deal (h/t Ringside news):
“My contract is up in June of next year. Who knows if they would want to give me a new contract? Who’s to say they would want to? If they did, I’d love to have Twitch as a part of the contract.”
PWI had earlier reported that Paige was contracted with WWE till 2023 but she had signed a deal in 2019.
A new promotion calling for Paige?
Should Paige get back to full fitness and her neck is fully recovered, it will be interesting to see what is the next step for her.
AEW and Impact are two promotions that could use her and she still has her best years ahead of her. WWE could also use her somehow as she was a manager before being pulled off TV.
Paige also did a few WWE shows such as Backstage but the end of that show put a stop to her media work for her employers.
She is still doing a lot of streaming work and enjoying it, but a proper wrestling contract might change her mind.
