Mick Foley was the latest to wish Keith Lee on winning the NXT title
Keith Lee was sent hundreds of congratulatory messages after winning the NXT title at the Great American Bash.
The Limitless One came into the special carrying the North American title. He was up against Adam Cole in a winner take all clash.
The match was excellent as both champions tried to get one over the other. However, Lee fulfilled his prophecy and became the first NXT star to hold both the belts at the same time.
It has been an incredible 12 months for Lee as he has grown on NXT. His reign as the champion will certainly be interesting with Karrion Kross watching after the celebrations.
Mick Foley, a legend in the wrestling business, had a unique take on Lee’s “Bask in his glory” tag. The hardcore legend sought permission to bask in the glory, but Lee reminded Foley of his stature in wrestling.

Foley certainly knows a thing or two about being a champion in WWE. Getting praise from the legend is something that Lee will certainly remember for a long time.
Lee’s win was certainly something many WWE stars enjoyed. Several of them, including his partner, Mia Yim, posted great messages on social media as NXT became NX-Lee.
A great champion in the making?
Cole was possibly one of the greatest NXT Champions and was the longest-reigning one too. The Undisputed Era leader made NXT his own brand, and it will be interesting to see what Lee does.
The Limitless One has never backed down from a fight and there are many big names still on NXT. Kross is certainly one who will be keen on picking up a title but others such as Finn Balor, Dominik Dijakovic and Damien Priest might have a thing or two to say.
Lee has a huge target on his back, but that is the price to pay for being a double champion.
