Kevin Owens may move to AEW soon as his WWE contract expires
WWE superstar Kevin Owens might be heading towards AEW as his WWE contract is going to expire soon. The speculation about Owens leaving WWE began when Owens tweeted some coordinates to Mount Rushmore in South Dakota.
He also changed the bio location in his Twitter account to “Almost there,” which might reference the Mount Rushmore coordinates, which was deleted from his Twitter account.
He was quoted on his Twitter account as saying (h/t WrestlingInc.)
Kevin Owens was in the faction called Mount Rushmore with Adam Cole and AEW World Tag-Team Champions The Young Bucks. But Owens left the stable when he signed with WWE in 2014.
Owens is now present in the SmackDown brand of WWE and defeated Corbin in the last SmackDown episode.
However, reports have suggested that Owens’ contract ends in early 2022.
