Omega shot a video with AdFreeShows.com where he was seen speaking about the influence of Angle while taking a massage. After that, he took to Twitter and had all the praise for the former world champion.

The Belt Collector mentioned Angle as one of the greatest athletes on earth at the pro-wrestling level. He said that it was Angle who inspired him to push his limits.

“One of earth’s greatest athletes to ever bless us with pro wrestling at the highest level. Thank you for inspiring me to push my limits!”

In the video, Omega was quoted saying:

“One more guy that was a brilliant inspiration to kind of get into where I am at now in the ring, maybe it’s Kurt Angle again. I appreciate the real athleticism at what he does without sacrificing that entertainment aspect. He was willing to do whatever it takes just to make the crowd happy, people laugh, make people cry.

“But his capabilities were not matched to any, aside from the list of handful of Japanese talents. In the Americans, I would say that the biggest influence for me was probably Mr Perfect, Kurt Angle. And then I would say there were Owen Harts, RVDs, Eddie Guerrero’s guys like that.”

The American Champion Kurt Angle also took to Twitter and replied to Omega for those kind words. He mentioned gratitude towards him and took a fun dig towards the massage as well.

“Thank you @KennyOmegamanX for the kind words. I hope that massage/adjustment was good!”
