John Morrison and The Miz take on Braun Strowman for the WWE Universal title

WWE star John Morrison sounded confident ahead of his clash against Braun Strowman for the Universal title.

However, it will not be a one-on-one clash with The Miz also involved. Morrison and Miz will team up to take on the Monster among men in a handicap match, with the title on the line.

It should be interesting to see how this clash goes, but this isn’t the first time something like this has happened.

Strowman should still come into this clash as the slight favourite. However, Morrison believes he has a great chance of winning the title.

After the match was announced on SmackDown, Morrison sent out a warning to the Universal Champion.

The Shaman of Sexy tweeted that he was going to pick up the title after destroying Strowman:

“Can’t wait to whoop his big ass & take the Championship home to Slamtown”

The Miz might also have something to say about it, and it will be interesting to see how the pair work to take the big man down.

Sharing the Universal title might be a problem later on too, and hopefully, WWE does not bury the pair like they have done to tag teams in the past.

Big matches on the card

This clash will take place at Backlash and it would be the first one since 2018. Three other matches have been confirmed for the PPV with Edge and Randy Orton meeting again.

The other match sees Asuka defend her WWE Raw Women’s title but her opponent hasn’t been confirmed yet.

Drew McIntyre will also put his WWE title on the line against a resurgent Bobby Lashley, and there should be more matches lined up for the PPV.

Strowman and McIntyre have looked good since picking up their titles. And they should be favourites for keeping the gold after the PPV too.
