Rhea Ripley is a former NXT Women’s Champion but is eyeing one of the top stars in WWE
The Nightmare, Rhea Ripley, has some big plans in store on NXT but she is keen on fighting Asuka who is the Raw Women’s Champion.
All this came about as Asuka spoke ahead of her title clash at Extreme Rules. She faces Sasha Banks and WWE has been speaking about Banks and a few other women a lot these days.
They are celebrating the fifth anniversary of the Women’s Evolution which saw Banks, Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch make their debuts on Raw.
That changed the complexion of the women’s division as many of them went on to fight at main events in some of the biggest PPVs too.
Asuka claimed that she was excited for the second batch of evolution and wanted to face Ripley.
The Australian replied to this statement and was open to taking on the Raw Women’s Champion.

The next step for Ripley
The Australian also posted an update after NXT where she claimed she was done with a storyline. Robert Stone had failed to add Ripley into his Robert Stone brand.
Ripley was able to beat Stone and Aliyah in a handicap match and claimed she was looking forward to possibly fighting for the NXT title now.
Io Shirai is the current champion and she too is one of the best female talents in WWE. However, it will be interesting to see what is next for Ripley.
Shirai defeated Tegan Nox but was attacked by Dakota Kai right after the match. As for Ripley, she hasn’t been in contention for the title since Shirai won it.
WWE could have a Ripley vs Shirai rivalry on NXT but moving the Nightmare onto Raw or SmackDown could also work.
Ripley has risen through the ranks in recent months and is one NXT talent that should switch to one of the two main brands soon.
Of course, we could have Asuka fight on NXT too as Banks and Bayley have done in recent months. However, a proper rivalry and story between Asuka and Ripley could be great.
