Indi Hartwell compares big match on NXT to Dominik Mysterio custody legendary match

WWE NXT Superstar Indi Hartwell has compared next week’s match on NXT to a legendary match featuring Rey Mysterio and Eddie Guerrero.

Gargano and his wife Candice LeRae, who consider themselves Hartwell’s “parents”, do not approve of the pairing and will now fight it out to declare an outcome.

Hartwell reacted to the match on Twitter with a comparison to a legendary stipulation match of the past. The NXT star tweet said: “Same Energy,” with a picture of the match card for Rey Mysterio vs Eddie Guerrero.

The stipulation for next week’s match is a Love Her or Lose Her match between Johhny Gargano and Dexter Lumis. If her “dad’ were to win, Hartwell wouldn’t bring up Lumis again. But if Lumis won, Indi and Lumis would be able to continue their relationship.

She is part of The Way alongside LeRae, Johnny Gargano and Austin Theory. Hartwell and LeRae are the current holders of the NXT Women’s Tag Team Titles.

Rey Mysterio vs Eddie Guerrero

Mysterio and Guerrero were booked in a storyline, where Guerrero was revealed as the possible ‘father’ of Dominik Mysterio. WWE, however, decided to book the pair in a storyline for WWE SummerSlam 2005. A ladder match was announced as the winner receiving custody for Dominik Mysterio.

Guerrero lost the match after his wife turned on him to allow Mysterio to retrieve the briefcase. The match is still considered one of the most bizarre stipulations in WWE history.

Mysterio and his son, Dominik are still in WWE and won the SmackDown Tag Team Championship together. Unfortunately, The Usos stole the titles from them at Money in the Bank, but will be owed a re-match in the near future with SummerSlam approaching.
