Chelsea Green was released on the 15th of April from the WWE

Chelsea Green could have made it big in the WWE, had it not been for her recurring wrist injury. The Canadian who first made her appearance in the WWE, way back in 2014, became a regular after making her main roster debut in December 2019.

Due to repeated injuries, she often faced periods of inactivity. And finally on the 15th of April, 2021 she was released by the promotion.

Elsewhere, Vanessa Borne who goes by the name Danielle Sierra Kamela was released recently by the WWE as well. She had been a part of the WWE since 2016, and finally got her main roster callup in January 2020.

Pretty similar to Green, Borne was also released due to long period of inactivity.

In a recent interview with Mike Johnson of PW Insider, Borne opened up on a failed plot to set up a trio alongside fellow superstars Green and Santana Garrett.

Borne revealed that she alongside Green and Garrett had pitched all their ideas that they wanted for the faction. Unfortunately none of these came to fruition, despite working on it for weeks:

“We basically pitched all of the ideas for what we wanted the group to be about. Chelsea had her specific ideas. Santana had hers. I had mine. So, we were just trying to put those all together into different pitches we could give to potentially get our group on TV. Yeah, I want to say we were working on that for two to three weeks, maybe even four before they were like, “Okay, it’s not going to happen anymore.” Which I feel like a all female faction would have been really cool because they didn’t have one at the time. I don’t think they have one right now either.  So that’s why I was like, it would have been fun to be able to do and bring to television; but that didn’t work out.” [via PW Insider]

Vanessa Borne believes she might meet Chelsea Green and Santana Garrett down the line

Now that all three have been released by the promotion, Borne was optimistic of the trio teaming up somewhere down the road.

She was quoted as saying:

Now, all of us are free agents, so who knows. Maybe down the road you’ll see the three of us together.”

Green is currently targeting a move to Impact Wrestling, while it is not clear as to where Borne will be landing next.
