Cody Rhodes’ return to WWE has been discussed and speculated over the past few weeks ever since he resigned from AEW

Goldust’s younger brother had signed for WWE about 10-14 days ago as per Mike Johnson of PWInsider.

Cody Rhodes (AEW)

Cody Rhodes had a phenomenal run in AEW after he left WWE. He put AEW on the map and now his return to WWE will benefit both sides immensely.

According to

Cody has been referenced by many WWE Superstar of late. Top superstars in WWE like The Miz and Edge referenced the 36-year old a few weeks ago.

At one point in time, Edge threw an open challenge to anyone to have a match against him at The Grandest Stage of Them All. Fans were speculating Rhodes to return and face the Rated-R superstar at ‘Mania. That rumor has gone down the drain. We have another dream match in store for us as Edge takes on ‘The Phenomenal’ AJ Styles at ‘Mania.

Over the last few weeks, fans have been expecting Cody to appear on the red brand but ended up getting disappointed.

Cody Rhodes versus Seth Rollins to be announced next week on RAW?

This week’s RAW will be the penultimate episode of the red brand before WrestleMania 38. If Cody doesn’t return this week on RAW, there will be just one more episode left before ‘Mania. A match of this magnitude could have done even better with a long build-up.

Seth Rollins
Seth Rollins won the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 31

Seth Rollins is one of the best superstars in WWE. However, ‘The Visionary’ has no match scheduled the company’s biggest event of the year.

This week Seth tried to steal his friend Kevin Owens’ idea and wanted to host Stone Cold Steve Austin on his own chat show. Owens and Rollins had a match in the main event of RAW and the winner would get the opportunity to interview Austin at ‘Mania.

Rollins lost and was left with no match at ‘Mania. WWE meanwhile, is making an interesting storyline around it. After Rollins’ loss, Corey Graves stated on commentary, “Seth Rollins’ WrestleMania hopes and dreams were dashed tonight! His vision has turned into a nightmare!”

Graves was hinting at Cody’s previous characters in both WWE and AEW. All said and done, a top draw superstar won’t be left out of the WrestleMania 38 card and it’s almost certain that Cody will be his opponent at ‘Mania but we will have to wait for the official announcement which might come next week on RAW.
