WWE Superstar Eva Marie clears the air after rumours of her release
WWE Raw Superstar Eva Marie has put an end to the rumours of her WWE release, after her bio appeared in the alumni section on the official website of the company.
Marie returned to WWE two weeks ago, but the update to move her to the active roster was left incomplete by the company. She has now cleared the air since then, talking to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, and also tweeting: (h/t ComicBook)
“FAKE NEWS! Tweets circulating that my Status on the WWE Roster is Alumni. FALSE! A simple fact check reveals the truth. Don’t let the main stream fake wrestling news media try to derail the #EVALution . We are in this together, they can’t stop us!”
After a four year absence, Marie has finally returned to WWE. Marie is indeed now listed as an active Superstar on WWE.com, putting an end to the rumours of her short return coming to an end.
Marie returns with Doudrop (fka Piper Niven) and have shared mixed results since their entry. She will be looking to rack up the wins and move up the RAW women’s roster.
How has the Doudrop-Eva Marie partnership flourished?
Marie and Doudrop are touted to be a mainstay on RAW, despite their loss to Naomi and Asuka. The loss was marred by Doudrop’s decision to not tag herself in, thus handing their opponents the win. Naomi and Asuka are now going to be part of the Women’s Money in the Bank ladder match.
Doudrop stunned the women’s roster thrashing Naomi in a singles match on her debut. The pair’s topsy turvy relationship has produced an interesting chemistry in the ring.
Marie will be looking to move the EVA-lution ahead with Doudrop and take huge strides towards attaining a future Championship match. Doudrop, meanwhile, arrives after a long stint in WWE NXT UK and will have all eyes on her in the next few weeks.
