Drew McIntyre shares stories with The Great Khali on the occasion of the Indian’s Hall of Fame induction

The Great Khali was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in the Class of 2021. And former WWE heavyweight champion, Drew McIntyre, reminisced how he spent time with him in the past.

The Scotsman, who has a WrestleMania 37 title date with Bobby Lashley, spoke to News18.com and revealed how he bonded with the 7 ft-tall giant a few years back.

“I didn’t just spend time with him in the locker room; I spent time with him in the car traveling the word. My original travel car was myself, Jinder Mahal, and the Great Khali.

“And three of us would ride together every single week; I would get to know him and find out what a great guy he is. We would always have Indian music playing. So freaking catchy – like Hindi music, we would always be bobbing our heads all the time. “

Apart from that, he revealed how Jinder Mahal and Khali also taught him a few naughty words in Hindi.

“They would teach me all the words they were saying, they would teach me some dirty words too, but they always used to tell me all about India and all the great places to visit that I have never been to before. I can’t wait to travel again and get to India.”

Just what is it about human beings and them taking the opportunity to teach a foreigner a bunch of expletives in their language when they get the chance to do so…

It was a proud moment for the entire country of India, 1.3 billion strong, when one of their was inducted into the most coveted list of professional wrestling.

And McIntyre could not be happier for his friend as he congratulated the former WWE champion, also mentioning his hopes of seeing more future representation in the WWE roster from India.

“The fact is he (The Great Khali) is getting in the Hall of Fame, and I am very happy for him. He is a great guy and such a hero to a lot of people out there. And to see now how much Indian representation we have on our roster, it is really really cool. We recently had the WWE Superstar Spectacle and a lot of our young Indian talent were on there…”

McIntyre would be hoping to cement his legacy further before he himself gets inducted in the WWE HOF sometime in the future.

He takes on Bobby Lashley at WM 37 in a bid to retain his WWE belt which he won from Brock Lesnar at the same PPV last year.
